Guidelines:

i. Before submission of the online Application Form, candidate should read this notification carefully.
ii. The Jammu & Kashmir SET Agency announces holding of the State Eligibility Test (J&K SET 2017-18) on 11th March 2018 (SUNDAY) for determining the eligibility of J & K State subjects for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor in Colleges and Universities of Jammu & Kashmir State. The Agency will conduct SET in 37 subjects (listed under Table 2 of the SET brochure) at two Centres - Srinagar and Jammu.
iii. All the notifications regarding the test including the result of the J & K SET will be made available on the J&K SET/ University of Kashmir website: http://set.uok.edu.in/ www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in as and when it is declared. The candidates will not be individually intimated about different notifications including acceptance of forms, Centre notice, availability of Admit Cards and Results etc. Candidates in their own interest should regularly check the official website for all information/updates.

Centres of Examination:

There shall be two Examination centres for candidates of the respective divisions :
i) Srinagar Center Centre Code 1
ii) Jammu Center Centre Code 2

CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY :

a) Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) for General Category and 50% marks (without rounding off) for different Reserved categories in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Sciences, Humanities (including languages) and Social Science.
b) Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of eligibility for Assistant Professor only after they have passed their Master’s degree examination or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of Reserved Category Candidates). Such candidates must qualify their P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
c) The Ph.D. degree holders who have qualified Master’s level examination by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.

AGE LIMIT & RELAXATION :

There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Step-1: Visit the University of Kashmir Website www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in click on Link J & K SET or candidates can directly visit http://set.uok.edu.in. Read Important Instructions for online Submission of Forms carefully before proceeding further.
Step-2: Upload your latest passport size photograph. Fill up the required fields in the form with relevant information. Candidates must clearly mention the category: GEN/RBA/SC/ST/CGB/PWD/WUP/ALC to which they belong.
Step-3: Preview the Form displayed on the screen. If details are correct, click on Submit. If there is any variation, make corrections and then Submit. Get a printout of the Form and note the Form No. for future reference.
Step-4: Fee can only be paid through online mode using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking
Please note that fee submitted by any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will not be accepted. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances

1. The Criteria of selection for the posts for which Computer based test was held from 14th-18th November, 2017, is given item wise here under.
2. There will be no Viva for all these posts (except the items of Junior Assistants where it has already been notified) and hence there will be no shortlisting.
3. However, candidates will be shortlisted in 1:5 in respect of those posts/items where practical test etc., is required to be conducted.
4. A provisional selection list will be notified requiring the candidates to appear for counselling along with their Original documents/certificates. A candidate would finally be recommended, as selected, to the concerned department only after his eligibility is found to be in order as per the rules.
5. In case, a candidate fails to produce his/her original documents/certificates/Bonafide etc., on the  day of counselling or if he/she remains absent, the next candidate in order of merit will be recommended without any further opportunity as the Board cannot keep the selection process open for years. Any such, candidate who remains absent or fails to produce his/her documents, will be declared “disqualified”. The candidates are as such being notified in advance to keep their documents ready for the counselling sessions which will commence from mid-January, 2018, onwards.

Reliance JioPhone pre-booking: Here’s how you can get the 4G VoLTE feature phone
Reliance Jio has resumed sales of its ambitious JioPhone. According to a report by The Economic Times, the telecom company has started sending messages to customers with a link attached to buy the advanced 4G VoLTE feature phone. The link has a code which the customer needs to show at the nearest Jio outlet to get the phone.
In the first phase of sales, Reliance Jio managed to sell around 6 million of Jio phones. Now, the company is targeting close to 10 million customers in the second phase who had shown interest in the phone but could not get it after the device went out of stock. Mukesh Ambani, owner of Reliance Industries (RIL), launched JioPhone in July this year. The company started taking pre-orders for the same in August. However, due to unprecedented demand for the JioPhone, which led to the deliverers being  pushed to October 19.
For those who are unaware, the 4G-enabled feature phone is priced at Rs 1,500 which is refundable after a period of three years given users return the device. Those who pre-book the device will have to pay Rs 500 upfront and the rest Rs 1,000 at the time of delivery.
As for specifications, JioPhone offers smart features like a voice assistant, the ability to support Jio apps like JioTV, etc. It gets a 2.4-inch QVGA display and this is a single SIM phone. The phone also supports a microSD card slot, FM Radio, torchlight, and SOS option. There’s also a 2MP rear-facing camera and a 0.3MP front camera. The processor is dual-core SPRD 9820A/QC8905 one and there’s 512MB RAM onboard, coupled with 4GB storage, which is expandable to 128GB. The device is backed by a 2000mAh battery inside.

Younger Sister Gets Married Only 4 Hours After The Death Of The Elder Sister! Here's The Whole Story

This Agra family was busy in the wedding preparation of their youngest daughter when they got a news and everything changed. On the day of the wedding, the family got the news that their eldest daughter was burnt to death by her in-laws in what is being called a case of dowry harassment. Just four hours after the shocked family came back from the funeral, they organised the wedding of the younger one in a very simple and plain ceremony. This is the whole story..

Virendra Kumar is a retired army man and the father of four girls and one boy. 12 years ago he git his eldest daughter Neerja married to a soldier in the Indian army. According to the father, the husband Pushpendra started harassing his daughter for dowry after the wedding. On 23rd November his youngest daughter was supposed to get married and on 18th November he gifted a gold ring to his would-be son-in-law. On seeing this the eldest son-in-law started throwing a fit and even tried to choke the father.

Allegedly he was so angry about the whole thing that he burnt the eldest daughter (his wife) alive on 20th November. She was taken to the hospital with serous burns on her body the same day. Sadly on 23rd November (the day of the wedding) she breathed her last. While the family was preparing for the funeral of their eldest daughter they were also not sure whether the youngest one would get married now.

But the would-be husband of the youngest daughter said that the wedding be presumed as it was planned but in a simple ceremony. The family also agreed and the couple was married on the same day. Police has filed a case of murder against the accused. The accused Pushpendra has fled and the police is on a lookout for him.
